What I Do

When you imagine yourself at college, what do you see? Whether you picture a Saturday quad full of tailgating tents or an urban campus with more skyscrapers than grass, I can help you find colleges you’ll love and put your best foot forward in applications.

SErvices & PRICING

I offer one free 1-hour meeting with the student and parents to explain services, get to know each other, and decide if we’re a good fit to work together. This is a general conversation about service options and the family’s needs rather than personalized advice based on the student’s specific profile and situation.

HOURLY WOrk

Pre-paid hourly work can include consultative meetings, essay brainstorming and editing, college list research and recommendations, high school course selection guidance, career/major exploration and assessments for high school or college students, phone or email advice, or other services tailored to your family’s needs. The investment is $200 per hour. This tends to be the best option for students in 10th grade and younger, who typically don’t yet need to meet as frequently as juniors, seniors, and transfer students.

ESSAY-ONLY PACKAGES

Package prices are available for assistance with essays only or all the main written components of applications (essays, activities lists, and additional information sections). The cost depends on the number of essays/activities lists, difficulty of the essay prompts, and the writing process that works best for the student. Please contact me so we can discuss further!

I believe that students get the most out of this process when I know them well enough to help identify their unique superpowers and highlight those core traits throughout different parts of their applications. Thus, all work with each student and family is done by me, Sharon, and all time spent with clients is one-on-one and customized to each student’s specific situation. I do not hire sub-contractors or assistants, work with students in group settings, or deliver information to students through mass newsletters or a pre-recorded video curriculum.
